Personal Letter from the Owner of Quadrant Group

When I was a corporate Vice President of Sales, we hired one of the “Big 6” consulting firms to help us figure out how to increase sales. All we got was a huge collection of “boiler plate” information, most of which we could not actually do anything with, and a large bill. Despite our fancy binder, nothing changed. Partly because of corporate politics, and partly because the “solutions” we received were mostly generic theories given to every company to increase sales. “Nobody ever got fired for hiring _______” You know the drill…

I created Quadrant Group and Operation Overlord because I have been on both sides of the fence – a customer of consultants and the consultant. As a consultant, I am tired of companies throwing money at a problem when it is just a symptom of a bigger issue. Sales training is a good example of this. I have done it and, if you are in sales management, you have done it as well (or had it forced on you) – “Sales are down, it must be the sales reps so let’s bring in some more sales training!” We have found that sales training is almost always brought in too soon.

You may have noticed that our web site does not list any team member bios. Due to the confidential nature of Trojan Horse and Operation Overlord, we do not disclose the identities of our team members on our web site. We are a team of business owners and sales professionals, each with a minimum of 15 years of sales experience. Once you speak to us, it will make sense.

A little bit about me: I have been in business now for over 30 years, most of it in sales. I have “carried a bag” and I have been a Vice President of Sales. I have also owned several businesses.

As a Business Coach and Consultant, I have worked with over 100 businesses in everything from sales and leadership to organizational structure. I have helped save companies from bankruptcy and helped others realize double-digit growth. 

During the first year with one company as the Vice President of Sales, we produced a 137% increase in sales over the previous year. This was the first time in five years that sales had been higher than the previous year. I love jumpstart or turn-around situations.

I am also a national speaker and the creator of a national workshop program that was presented in over 20 cities. The workshops were sponsored by major newspapers, chambers of commerce, and local and national businesses. The major newspapers included The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Florida Today, Palm Beach Post, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. The workshops trained business owners in strategies for increasing sales, creating more effective advertising, and leadership skills.
