Are you really ready for change?

A common problem in business today is the resistance to change. This resistance stifles innovation, teamwork, and productivity, the outcomes of which can be seen in:

Declining or flat sales, usually combined with a loss of customers.
Communication issues from the top down resulting in poor morale and culture issues.
As innovation is stifled, mediocrity becomes the accepted standard.

I have over 25 years of sales and management experience. One of the "jewels of wisdom" I have acquired over the years is that people do not change until THEY are ready to change. Nobody can make you change...you have to be ready.

I have worked with many business owners who thought they were ready for change, only to find out differently when they actually had to change. Change is one of the hardest things for people to do. Fear, ego and comfort are several reasons why people don't like to change. If you are ready to take your business to the next level, you must be willing to accept change. Only then can you take the next step.
